Yesstyle Top 10 K-Beauty Box Unboxing and Mini Reviews
Hey Dreamers and Creators!
What are your top 10 K-Beauty favorites? We know, this can be such a hard question because there are so many K-Beauty products out there in the market and many are well known favorites. It's hard to just pick 10 isn't it? Even we have trouble keeping it at just 10. However, what if you had to recommend it to a friend who's new to K-Beauty and she/he can only choose 10 items? What would you suggest them?
One of our favorite online shopping sites has picked out their Top 10 K-Beauty Must Try products and that shop is Yesstyle! Yesstyle has been one of our well-liked online shops for six years. (That's a long time huh?) They offer a wide variety of products from beauty to clothes, lifestyle goods, and more. They are like one of those one-stop shops that carries pretty much everything (ship-able). We shared a lot about them in our SABO post, so if you are interested you can read more about them there.
While we do agree that many of Yesstyle's Top 10 products are quite popular, only one made it to our top 10 list. Are you curious as to what it might be? Read on to find out!
Isn't the design on this box super cute? Whoever designed this box deserves a bonus! We absolutely adore it and we have decided to reuse this box to store some of our travel sized beauty products.
The Yesstyle Top 10 Must Try K-Beauty box offers a good selection K-Beauty goodies for beginners and veterans alike. The box contains a variety of skincare and makeup products, many of which are K-Beauty favorites. These products are all wallet friendly and some even make great gifts as well.
Let's get to know these K-Beauty goodies.
First up is the Etude House Collagen Eye Patch. These eye patches are no news to us. Having tried plenty of Etude House products, we have also tried these in the past. They aren't the best eye patches in the market but as beginners, they were pretty decent. These are good little pick me ups as they can hydrate the under eye areas and if you stick these in the fridge overnight they can also help to de-puff the under eye areas as well. While these Collagen Eye patches also promises to reduce dark circles and fine lines around the eyes. In our experience, we never notice much of either of those effects. Which was one of the reasons why we stopped using them and tried out eye masks from other brands.
The Etude House Collagen Eye Patches can provide the under eye areas with an refreshed feeling, which is great for morning uses. Each pair is also individually packaged, making it great for travels. Plus these eye patches are on the inexpensive side. So if you are on a budget, these might seem more wallet friendly.
Next up is the Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Cover and Bright Fit. (Whew, what a long name.) We have the shade W13 Natural Beige, but this BB cream also has a lighter shade (N02 Light Beige) and a darker shade (W24 Honey Beige). This BB cream promise to offer good coverage and a radiant healthy glow too. It's easy to apply and it offers SPF 30 PA++ sun protection.
BB creams are a staple product in our makeup pouches. Even though we both have BB cushions, we still like to keep a BB cream on hand. Just in case. We've both tried plenty of BB creams but neither of us have found our HG yet. Usually, it's the shade that's off but sometimes it could be the formula as well. This Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Cover and Bright Fit is good but it didn't fit either of our wants in a BB cream. The shade was the main issue for both of us. As for the formula, while it does offer decent coverage, it can make dry spots more noticeable. So, it might not be great for those with dry skin. However, if the shade is right for you and you don't have to worry about dry spots than this BB cream might be worth a try!
Ah, the Berrisom My Lip Tint Pack. Remember when these became the hot item last year? Everyone was on that peel-off lip tint trend. It was so unique and cool at the same time. All you had to do was prepare your lips with lip balm (make sure your lips are not dry or chapped), then apply a layer of the lip tint. Leave it to dry (usually 5 to 10 minutes) and just peel it off. The lip tint generally lasts 8+ hours and it doesn't transfer even when you eat or drink. Sounds amazing huh? The shade we have here is Lovely Peach, which is a pretty orange-pink color. But the line has 8 shades in total, so plenty of choices to choose from.
This was one product we didn't agree on. While one of us love this tint, the other found the tint to be a bit much work. Especially since you have to apply it perfectly or you might get tint on areas that you don't want it to be on. This is definitely a practice makes perfect product and chances are you won't get it perfect on your first try. However, the color payoff is really great and nothing beats that long lasting power. So if these two traits are what you are looking for in a lip tint, than this will be your best bet!
Lots of Etude House Goodies in this box! This is the Etude House Color My Brows. This is a brow tint and depending on the color you choose it can either lighten or darken the brows. The line has 5 colors in total and we have the color Rich Brown. The other colors are Light Brown, Red Brown, Natural Brown, and Blondie Brown.
To be honest, we've never tried brow tints before. Usually brow pencil and powders does the trick for our brows. So this was a new experience. We had some single use mascara wands we bought last time and we used that so we can both try out the brow gel. The result? Well, we can see how this can be handy for some people. Especially if they dyed their hair a lighter/darker color than their brows and they want to use the brow tint to match it. The tint can also help to keep the brow hairs in place, which is nice as well.
On to the eyeliner, this is the Beauty People 10 Seconds Auto Pencil Eyeliner. The line has 8 colors from dark to light. It also varies between shimmer and matte shades as well. This is a twist-up liner, making it easy to use. It also comes with a small sharpener at the end, so you never have to worry about it being dull. The color we got is Diamond Burgundy, which is a gorgeous burgundy shade with red pearly shimmers.
This isn't our first Beauty People eyeliner. We've actually both tried their Miss 100 Super Waterproof Gel Eyeliner and that is one of our favorite eyeliners. So we had high hopes for the 10 Seconds Auto Pencil Eyeliner. The Diamond Burgundy color is beautiful and fits the Fall season perfectly. The staying power is pretty great for this eyeliner. However, if you have oily lids you might find that it can smudge if you don't use primer and powder.
This is another Berrisom product and it's the Berrison Oops Tint Cheek Cushion. It's supposed to be a lightweight emulsion like blush with a built-in cushion applicator. The cushion applicator makes it easy to apply the product and gives it a flawless finish. The cheek cushion is said to be enriched with 15 different types of herb and flower extracts as well. The shade pictured here is Sugar Pink, which is a pink color. This line also has an orange-peach color called Cream Peach.
The cushion is, as it promises, really easy to use. Although the pink color might seem too bright at first, once it has been applied and blended out the color actually looks fairly natural and gives the complexion a healthy glow. The cushion applicator is removable, so it can be easily cleaned if needed. It would be nice if they sell refill applicators as well, for those who might not want to clean it or find trouble cleaning it.
Okay, we've finally arrived at our favorite product. This is the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. Like its name suggests, this is an overnight lip mask. It promises to dissolve dead skin cells, moisturize the lips, plump the lips making it firmer, and nourish it as well. The lip mask is formulated with a berry mix complex that's packed full of vitamins and antioxidants to treat your lips while you sleep. It's easy to apply (it comes with a mini spatula to help you apply it) and it's easy to remove as well. Simple wipe it clean with either a tissue or cotton pad the next morning and you are ready to go.
We bought one to try this summer and we both fell in love with it. (We decanted half into a different container, so we aren't both sharing the same jar.) The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask does what it promises and it's super easy to use. It also smells like sweet berries, which is a total plus! Although the lip mask container might look small, a little goes a long way for this mask. So it actually lasts quite a while. This lip sleeping mask has made it to our favorites list and our repurchase list as well. We will be stocking up on this soon!
Macqueen is a new-ish brand for us. While we have heard about them for a while now, this was actually our first Macqueen product and the product is interesting in its own right. This is the Macqueen Cushion Tint Lip & Cheek. The shade we have is Magic, which is a light pink color. The line also has 5 other colors ranging from corals to orange and reds.
When you hear the word 'cushion' in beauty products these days, you generally expect some sort of cushion applicator. However, what we got was something unexpected. It's not really a cushion applicator but a water-drop shaped applicator that has a texture like most lip gloss applicators. The tint is creamy but it doesn't give that cushiony feel either. So the name just seems a little misleading. Aside from that the color is actually pretty good. It's a pretty soft pink color that look better on the cheeks than on the lips, however, it can be used both ways. The tint is easy to apply and it has great pigment as well. One downside is its lasting power, which isn't that great. It can also cling to dry areas on the lips, so make sure to moisturize well before use.
Pore strips and us have a love-hate relationship. If you frequent our blog, than you've probably heard us say this time and time again. Some pore strips are effective with what they do but they can be harsh on the skin as well, which is their downfall. These are the Tosowoong Blackhead & Sebum Out Nose Pack. Each box comes with 8 pieces, which is a great price. The pore strips are made with ingredients like charcoal, allantoin, ash, morocco lava clay, licorice extract, and more to effectively remove blackheads and sebum from pores. The strips are easy to use. Simply moisten nose, apply the pore strip and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then remove slowly.
Neither of us are big fans of pore strips although we don't 100% hate them either. Most of the time, they are effective, however, they can be painful and harmful at the same time. So we really only use them sparingly. We find the best way to take advantage of a pore strip is to use a steam towel first. The towel will help open up your pores which will make the pore strips jobs a little easier. We found the Tosowoong pore strips to be decent. It works good it removing sebaceous filaments, but when it comes to blackheads it varies. It can be painful though, so be warned. Also, some of the pore strip's black sticky areas can also get stuck to the nose and it can be a pain to remove.
Alright, the last item in this box is this Tonymoly I'm Real Lemon Brightening Mask Sheet. This is a triple layer sheet mask that can moisturize the skin while nourishing it and brightening it. The mask's serum absorbs easily and there's enough excess serum to be applied to the neck as well.
So, Tonymoly's I'm Real sheet masks have been on our to-buy list for a long time now. However, we haven't bought them because we really have too much masks in our stash that we need to finish first before we add more to it. So, this was a treat as it gave us a look at the mask material and fit. The fit is okay but not the best. A little snip here and there is needed to help it fit better but it's not too bad. Like promised, the serum absorbs easily and the Lemon mask really did brighten the skin while moisturizing it. However, the effects aren't long lasting but it's still a good pick me up.
