Memebox Pony Summer Makeup Box Unboxing
Hey Dreamers and Creators!
How's your week been so far? Hope it's been good! If you've been reading Dreams To Creations for a while now then you know how excited I was when I found out that Memebox would be partnering up with Pony to create some cosmetic products. I really like the first Pony palette and some of her nail polishes as well, so I was open to try more. I often find that some of the best value of things comes in Memeboxes. So instead of buying Pony beauty products separately, I purchased beauty boxes from Memebox to try a couple of her products out. This one here is the Pony Summer Makeup box, I also purchased the Pony Brown Bloom Box as well (unboxing to come!)
If you are new to Memebox, they are a beauty box company based in US, China, and South Korea. They sell non-subscription boxes and Korean beauty products via their online website. They also sell their own line of cosmetics and skin care products as well. If you check my Memebox tag on the blog, you'll see all the Memebox boxes and products I've reviewed.
Anyways, let's jump in and get to know all the products!
Holika Holika Aqua Fantasy Toner
150ml, $22
Product Description: Formulated with Iceland glacier water and hot spring water, this toner can provide deep moisture and minerals to the skin. The toner is gel based and leaves a refreshing feeling on the skin after use. It can help soothe tired and stressed skin. To use, saturate a cotton pad and gently wipe the entire face in up and outward motions.
My Thoughts: Some time ago this year, I found my favorite toner and it's not this Holika Holika Aqua Fantasy toner. I know I haven't done a review on my favorite toner yet (I will soon), but I think I'm pretty set on it. So I'm not sure if I want a new toner so soon. I haven't tried the Holika Holika toner yet but I've found that I've accumulated quite a lot of large bottle toners since I started to purchase from Memebox. My mom and I did try a couple of the toners we got from them and there were few that we did like. However, each bottle of toner is usually over 150ml, so it takes a long time to finish. I've been thinking that I'll probably use some of them for diy sheet masks to see how that'll go. So I might test that with this toner.
I know it looks orangey in the picture and I've no idea why. The color is actually quite red. |
2.3g, $10, #01 Kristen
Product Description: 01 Kristen is a pretty rosey red color. The blush is a blendable cream blush that dries to a powdery finish. It's lightweight and creates a natural look that's also long lasting. To use, apply along the cheekbones using fingers or a dense face brush.
My Thoughts: When I first saw this cream blush in the box, I knew I wouldn't be keeping it. Cream blushes and I have a love-hate relationship. I guess I'm too picky about them. While the color of 01 Kristen looks nice, like rose red, I think I'll still pass this on to someone else.
Pony Blossom Lipstick
4.5g, $12, #02 Spring Romance
Product Description: A lipstick formulated with white flower complex, honey and shea butter to help keep the lips moisturized and supple. The lipstick is nicely pigmented with a non-drying formula and has a semi-matte finish. The lipstick can be used to create gradient lips or bold lips.
My Thoughts: This is one of the Pony x Memebox products I'm most excited to try. The packaging is beautiful and I love the design. My lipstick collection is real small, like almost non-existent, so I think this is a great start. I've always gone with gradient lip looks or light lip looks, so bold lips with a good red lipstick is something I want to try soon. I'll probably do a review on this once I try it!
Pony Shine Easy Glam 3
6.5g, $18, #02 Pink Blossom
Product Description: A perfect eyeshadow quad with lovely pink-hued shadows. It's silky formula applies easily and evenly, blends effortlessly, and is long lasting too. The quad includes 4 shades: glam nude beige, glam fair pink, shine indie pink, and shine ashy brown.
My Thoughts: This palette and the lipstick was the whole reason why I wanted this box. I've always loved the Pony x Memebox palettes, except maybe for their Shin Easy Glam 2. Which I didn't get because it contains colors I didn't think I'd use or like. However, when I saw the Shine Easy Glam 3 palettes, I wanted them all. For one, the palette packaging is beautiful. The quad shadows each have a color theme but all fall more or less into the neutral-ish zones with light color variations. As a natural look lover, I fell head over heels for these palettes. Can't wait to try out looks with them, will report back!
Pony Nails
10ml, $3 each, #11, #17
Product Description: #11 is a gorgeous shade of magenta pink. It creates a sophisticated and feminine look. #17 is a midnight blue color, creating a captivating and mysterious aura. Both polishes are uniquely formulated to last long without chipping.
My Thoughts: Since I've already tried some of Pony nail polishes before, I know what to expect. While the product description says they don't chip, I find that if you simply use it on its own with no bottom or top coat, the polish will chip after 1 or 2 days. However, if you do you use bottom and top coat, then it will last longer. I really like #17 color and can see myself wearing the color in the fall/winter times. However, I think I might save #11 for next spring/summer.

Final Thoughts: I'm really happy with this box. I will use everything except the cream blush, which will be given to someone else. I'm most excited for the eyeshadow palette and the lipstick. Both are beautiful and I love the colors. I've already started to play with them, so I will most likely review them in the future! I know I'll have fun with the nail polishes and will test out the toner in the future to see if it's a good diy sheet mask candidate. Overall, this is a great box and I hope to see more Pony x Memebox products in the future!
Until next time and dream big!
