The Yeon Wannabe Romance Gel Perfume Review

Michelle and Helen here, it has been a while since we did a review post together, but here we are. This is our first ever review on a perfume product and it is quite exciting! We got The Yeon Wannabe Romance Gel Perfume in our Valentine's Day For You Memebox and we both have been loving it a lot ever since. We discovered The Yeon brand last year through Memebox and it has been a hit with a lot of our friends in the blogging circle. Their Hallabong skincare line is really popular and has gotten a lot of praises from other beauty bloggers. Although we haven't tried the Hallabong line yet (we really want to though), at least we know one thing, we are obsessed with their Gel Perfume. Let's jump straight into the review! ^^

Product Description:A stylish and lovely gel perfume that will take you on a romantic getaway with pleasant peach and crisp floral notes. It's portable and easy to use, plus the gel perfume goes on clear and won't leave any sticky residue behind. This gel perfume can be used on wrist, hair, and body. To use, take a small amount of the gel perfume and massage it onto wrists, hair, and body.

Top Notes: Freesia, Seville Orange, Jasmine tea, and Grapefruit.
Middle Notes: Jasmine, Rose, Magnolia, and White Peach.
Base Notes: White Musk, Amber, and White Cedar.

Helen's Thoughts: When we first saw the spoilers on the Valentine's Day For You box and saw this gel perfume, my daughter (Michelle) was excited. I, on the other hand, could care less. That was until we got the box and I took a sniff. The unthinkable happened and I fell in love with the scent. I am really picky when it comes to perfume scents, although I do think my daughter is even pickier about them. However, we generally find ourselves liking a lot of the same scents. Like mother, like daughter they say. To me, this Peach Blossom gel perfume's scent is a fresh, fruity, and floral mix, probably better for people at my daughter's age than my own, nonetheless, I like it. It's great for daily wear and just in time for spring. I'm not the biggest fan of the applicator that looks like a spatula head got lost in the factory and was attached to a lip gloss wand, although my daughter likes it, so I scooped out some of the gel perfume into a separate container for daily use. This worked out perfectly for my daughter and I because we can both use the gel perfume daily and enjoy the scent without fighting over who gets to keep it. It's a win-win situation.

In case anyone is curious, the separate container I used for this gel perfume is a mini rollerball container. Not the ones for perfume, but the ones for gel creams, like those rollerball eye gels. I purchased mine while I was overseas a long time ago but I think there are beauty cosmetic shops online that sell them as well.

Michelle's Thoughts: I had a feeling I would like this gel perfume from the moment I saw the spoilers. Although I am picky about fragrances, some how Peach Blossom just seemed like the scent that can't go wrong and I am glad I like it. This is the first gel perfume I have ever tried and if I haven't said it enough already, I like it a lot. The fruity floral scent seems perfect for spring and I wear it every day (well, aside from the days that I don't go out). It surprised me that my mom like this fragrance as well. I think she was surprised by herself too. She thinks the scent is a bit young for her age, but heck, if you like it you like it, age doesn't matter. At first I was worried that we'd be fighting over this gel perfume that we both love, but turns out we had an unexpected solution on hand. You see, my mom doesn't like the applicator that came with the gel perfume. I call it brilliant, she calls it the spatula head that got lost or something. Either way, she didn't care for the packaging, so she scooped out some of the gel perfume and put it in a separate container that's more convenient for her. This, turned out to that unexpected solution to our 'who gets this gel perfume' issue. And well, now we both get this lovely gel perfume.

I will say that this scent is strong when you first apply it or at least it's strong to me. Not like overwhelmingly strong, but it's not mild or light either. However, that strong scent lightens a bit as soon as your spread it and it stays at a mild scent for a couple of hours. Generally, on a 12 hours day out, I only have to reapply one or two times. (I will point out that I don't like overwhelming perfume scents and something high-medium/ medium-mild is enough for me, so if you like the strong scents, you might have to reapply this gel perfume more than 2 times per 12 hours. Also I have only tried this gel perfume on my wrist so far, so the above information is based off of that. Although the product does say it can be applied to hair and body as well.)

The Yeon's Wannabe Romance Gel Perfume has 2 other scents aside from the Peach Blossom. Those are the Petit Love and Secret Flower. We would like to try both of these in the near future, if we can find a place to order them online.

Final Thoughts: We LOVE this gel perfume. It's our first ever gel perfume and it is amazing. The scent is wonderful and perfect for the spring and summer seasons. The packaging is unique and there are 2 other options out there for us to try! We love the well like opening on this gel perfume. It catches the excess product and makes sure only a good amount comes out at once. It's perfect, oh and it isn't expensive at all. We can't wait to try more products from The Yeon's lines.
