Shara Shara Bee Tox Spot Cream Review
Hey Lovelies!
Today's review is on Shara Shara's Bee Tox Spot Cream. This product came in my Global #17 box from Memebox that I purchased last year. If you frequent my blog, you might have read that Shara Shara products and I just don't get along. For some reason, my skin just doesn't like them. Still, I wanted to give this product a try because I've heard a lot of great things about it and if it helps to get rid of acne, than I definitely want to try it. So, do you think I liked this product or not? Let's find out shall we?

My Thoughts: Sadly, like all other Shara Shara products that I've tried, this one is not for me as well. I kind of skipped my normal testing routine for this product and just dived right into it. So that means no normal patch test or anything. I know that's not normally how I use my products since I am very careful with my sensitive skin, but I just wanted to try it on my blemishes to see how well it works. So, did it work? Unfortunately, no. I only tested it a couple of times but there was no improvement or anything on the blemishes. Usually, when I use a blemish cream I see results right away. Not like in the next 10 minutes or anything like that, but I usually see reduction in redness or acne size within a day. However, there was no change with this product. I knew it wouldn't work on my skin then. I was lucky that it wasn't irritating on my skin or break me out anymore. But since it didn't help with my blemishes, I stop using it.
The scent of this product really threw me off. I knew there was going to be herbal like scent, due to the ingredient list. However, what accompanied the herbal scent was not expected at all. Since it's bee tox, I was thinking of a honey herbal mix scent, which doesn't sound bad at all. Sadly, to me, this product has a strong plastic smell mixed in with the herbal scent. It is not pleasant at all, to say the least. In the old days, I probably wouldn't even put this on my face due to the smell. However, after trying a ton of odd ingredient products that has a variety of smell and still worked wonders on my skin, like the SK-II facial essence (it smells ugh but it's so good for my skin), I gave this product a couple of tries. I hated the smell each time I applied it and could not wait for the 5 minutes to pass by, that's how long it take for the scent to become mild. I'm sure if this product really worked wonders on my skin I would have eventually got used to the smell like I am with the SK-II facial essence. However, since this product does not do what it claims to do for my skin, I am happy I don't have to worry about convincing myself that it really does not smell like plastic to me.
As you can see this cream is white and since it's a spot cream, you don't need a lot. That bit is able to cover my 2 blemishes and still enough to spread it on the back of my hand for the picture below.
Oh I guess I'll add here, that it is really difficult to peel the seal off on this product. You can see 2 pictures up that the product opening is very, very small. Now, imagine a seal covering that small hole and there are no flaps to help pull the seal off. Yup, it was a difficult one. I almost gave up on trying to open it.
My Rating: ❤ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
Final Thoughts: I was optimistic about this product, however, it did not live up to all the hype. At least not for me. This spot cream did nothing for my blemishes and that horrible scent is enough to clear a crowd. I left one heart for it because surprisingly, this product did not irritate my skin or cause it to break out like the other Shara Shara products I have tried in the past. I think it doesn't work as well as it claims because the important ingredients like the 6 herbal extracts that are suppose to help with blemishes are on the bottom of the long ingredient list. Which means there are very, very little of those ingredients in the product. So, it's not as potent and thus doesn't really do the job of clearing blemishes. I am glad that I took the risk to try this product out because now I know that not all Shara Shara products are irritating on my skin and I might be more open to trying others in the future. However, I hope these other Shara Shara products will work a lot better than this one!
Have you tried this Shara Shara Bee Tox Spot Cream? Did it work for you?
Until next time!
