January 2015 Favorites!
How's your Wednesday going? Hope it's well and dandy. This is my first ever favorites post. Not sure why I've never done one of these before, but better late than never right? I thought I'd include more than just beauty products in my favorites post, cause you know, what I love in 1 month is more than just beauty products. Anyways, I'm super excited to write my first post, as I've raved about a lot of these products already, and if I haven't I'm sure I will here in this post and in the future. With out further ado, let's get started!
Kinder Bueno Chocolate
I was reunited with my teenage favorite chocolate in January and I couldn't be happier. I found these in my local World Market store and I have since visited them 5 more times just for the chocolates. They are heavenly. My local World Market sells 3 of these together for around $4, so it's really worth it. I can't quite remember how much it used to cost, but that doesn't matter because these are delicious and totally worth it. Did you know Kinder Bueno is a brand by Ferrero? The same company that makes those delicious Ferrero Rocher, Nutella, and surprisingly, Tic Tac (yeah I didn't know this part either). If you are a fan of chocolate and hazelnut with a bit of wafer, you should definitely give this a try!
Babi Story Cotton Puff Case
These are just adorable and I couldn't resist it at all, I bought 2! I purchased mine at Daiso, which has been my go-to dollar fifty cent store since last year. Just about everything in Daiso is $1.5, with the exception of certain items, like these cotton pad holders, which are $3. Still really cheap and looks really cute. They've got that cute Victorian-esque look that reminds me of Anna Sui products. The case actually came with cotton puffs too, not the best quality but not bad either. Each puff case contains 30 multi-layer sheets and the lid is removable, so you can easily add more cotton puffs to it. Since these are only $3, they are made out of plastic, hence not very durable. If you drop it (like I did) chances are something will break. In my case, one of the the tiny legs broke off and I had to use super glue to put it back on. However, I think because they are only $3 dropping one didn't seem so bad. Now, if they were actual Anna Sui, I'd be rather sad.
Lassie'el Aloe Soothing Yogurt Massage Mask
I have been loving this wash off mask so much that it's no surprise they made it into my January's favorites list. I also recently reviewed these Aloe Soothing Yogurt Massage Masks too, so you can check that out if you'd like. These only costed $3.6 for a pack of 4 with a lid, which is amazing. Although I did get them while they were on sale on WishTrend and it looks like WishTrend doesn't carry these anymore, so you'd have to look for them elsewhere. What's so great about these is that they've got so many great properties for the skin such as vitamins, rich nutrients and aloe extracts. That works to heal, cleanse, and enhance the skin. Each little pack lasts about 3 to 4 uses and as I write this post, I've only got 1 pack left. I have been amazed by Lassie'el products lately, as I've loved everything I've tried from them. Although all that I have tried are their masks (wash offs and sleeping masks). I would love to try out their other products as well. They do have a limited selection though, but I hope they will make more face products in the future.
Etude House Castle Hand Cream
Ice Frozen
I got the Castle hand cream set with the cardboard box background as well. Although my box was kind of torn on the inside, that didn't matter so much, because the hand creams came in one piece. When I first saw them, I knew I had to have them. (A sucker for cute packaging and these are just too adorable not to have!) I actually sniffed everyone of them before choosing to use the Ice Frozen one first. It's not that I didn't like the other 3, but more like I love this one the most out of the 4. It's got a light sweet floral scent, that's got a cold note. The hand cream itself has a light blueish color and it's not easily noticeable.
Here's what the hand cream looks like on the inside. I find the details on the container incredible and adorable as well. I don't take these with me when I go out, as it's kind of inconvenient, however, I do have my Castle set displayed on my desk and I use them when I am at home. I know that I will be reusing these containers when I'm done with the hand creams. Personally, I think these make great gifts and one of the many reasons why I love Etude House is because of their cute packaging.
Annie's Way Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Brighting Jelly Mask
Bubzbeauty has been one of my favorite Youtube beauty guru for as long as I can remember. So when she introduced this jelly mask on her channel, I jumped to get it. I got mine at Yesstyle for about $20 and have been loving it ever since. I only use this about once a month, which is why it has lasted so long for me. I use it sparsely because these jelly masks takes time and they aren't the easiest to apply/remove. I generally apply a thick layer of this mask and leave it on for 40 minutes. I know that sounds long but Annie's Way actually recommends it. If I have extra time, I'll apply a sheet mask on top of my jelly mask and leave both on for 50 minutes. This really softens up my pores and pushes out any gunk inside of it. It also works to brighten my skin, although the effects are only temporary. I wrote a detailed review on this jelly mask not too long ago, so if you'd like more details on it, you can check it out! Since Annie's Way Jelly Masks comes in 10 different kinds, I eventually want to try them all. So far on my to buy list are the Italian Red Wine Jelly Mask and Aloe Moisturizing Jelly Mask.
SkinMiso Pore Beauty Nose Pack
The pores on my nose are a bit damaged from years of using nose strips to remove unwant gunk. Thus, they became enlarged over time as well. Enlarger pores means that they can get clogged easily and so not only do I worry about my large pores, I also worry about clogged pores. I've tried a lot of products to help minimize pores and cleanse/unclog pores, and nothing has really worked amazingly well. That is until I purchased SkinMiso in my WishTrend haul. No, SkinMiso isn't a super miracle product but it's seriously the best I've tried thus far. It's 3 step system, where step 1 removes blackheads and whiteheads, step 2 contacts the pores and calm the skin, and step 3 controls oil and minimize pores. It's not a one time end all product, but I find that I don't have to use this as often as I use other products. I uses this set about once per month and it is enough to keep my pores clean. Although the minimizing effect is only temporary, it still works better and longer than other products I have tried before. If you know of an amazing pore minimizing product, please let me know! I would love to try it. I will do an in-depth review on this program set very soon!
