Unboxing: Memebox Pumpkin Pie Cosmetics Superbox
Hey Beauties!
Welcome back to another Meme Monday. Last week I unboxed the 1st Anniversary box from Memebox, which I purchased in a box bundle with today's box. So today I'm going to unbox the Pumpkin Pie Cosmetics Superbox. Together the boxes costed $52 + $6.99 express shipping. This box is themed around pumpkin pie, if that isn't obvious already ^^, and as a fan of pumpkin pie I grabbed it right away. Let's dig in to see all the yummy goodies in this box!
Tada! Being used to Memeboxes with 6, 7, 8 or even 9 full size items in them, this 5 item box was a bit disappointing to look at. Still, at times it's better to have good quality over quantity. So let's find out if these 5 products are of good quality to make the box worth it.
Enesti Shea Butter Hand Cream Lemon and Verbena
50g, $5
Product Description: A lightweight shea butter hand cream with a non-sticky formula. It melts softly onto hands and leaves the skin feeling moist and nourished. The hand cream has lemon extracts and verbena extracts to gently soothe dehydrated hands while replenishing moisture to it.
My Thoughts: I don't think I've ever put lemon into my pumpkin pie recipes (maybe that one time with lemon zest, but are we counting the zest?), so this product is not really of theme. However, I will never say no to hand creams, (okay maybe I will say no if they smell funky), because I go through them so quickly. So it's always good to have a stash.
Dearberry Coco's Secret Recipe Pumpkin
100ml, $16
Product Description: A pumpkin wash off pack formulated with pumpkin extracts. It's got a spongy, pasty like texture. Pumpkin is known to have high concentrates of vitamins and beta-carotene which is great at replenishing dry skin. It can also clarify and brighten dull complexion. To use, spread the pack evenly over cleansed face, leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse off. It can be used 2 to 3 times a week.
My Thoughts: Ah, here's something pumpkin pie related. The last Dearberry product I got and loved was their Green Tea Ice Cream Hand Cream in a Memebox collaboration. So I have high hopes for this product. With so many wash off packs and masks in my stash right now, I will be saving this for now. Maybe I'll use it next Halloween, at the peak of pumpkin season. P.S. Love the super adorable packaging this product has.
Insobeau Multi Complex V-Line Repair Sleeping Mask
80ml, $42
Product Description: A sleeping mask with a buttery yellow formula that oddly enough resembles egg yolks. It contains rich nutrients and protein from its egg complex. It's got minimal stickiness and melts into skin quickly. This sleeping mask is great at revitalizing dry and tired skin overnight. It's got a blend of adenosine, peptide, argan oil, collagen, albutin, and ceramide; all of which works to deliver intense moisture to firm and brighten skin complexion. To use, spread the mask evenly over clean face. Chill for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the pack to fully absorb before going to bed. The sleeping mask can be used 2 to 3 times a week.
My Thoughts: The first thing I noticed was its expiration date. June 16th, 2015, that's in 6 months. Ugh. I'm not fond of its color although the texture is quite interesting. I have been testing it on my arm for the past 2 days and so far so good. Will patch test a bit more before using it. I haven't finished my previous sleeping mask yet, but I did decided to test and rotate this one in since it's expiring so soon and I'd hate to waste a whole entire tub of sleeping mask. On a plus side, this product is to theme, since pumpkin pie needs eggs.
Tonymoly Gold Black Sugar Mask
100ml, $7
Product Description: A gentle yet effective exfoliator formulated with nutrients from black sugar, gold, and honey extracts. It's used to cleanse away dead skin cells, oil, and impurities pile up in pores. This facial mask will work to bring suppleness and a healthy glow back to your complexion. To use, spread the mask evenly over wet and clean face. Gently massage it into skin, leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off.
My Thoughts: Another on theme product, not bad. Skinfood also makes a black sugar mask like this and I have heard amazing things about that, so I wonder how this will compare. I've never used either, so maybe I will get the skinfood one and do a comparison.
Until next time and dream big!

Enesti Day To Day Rice And Milk Foam Cleansing
160g, $14
Product Description: A foam cleanser enriched with milk protein and rice extracts. It works to gently cleanse away skin impurities and makeup residues on the face while clarifying and brightening skin complexions. Creating a brighter, youthful look. To use, take an appropriate amount and lather. Then gently massage onto wet face, rinse off with lukewarm water.
My Thoughts: Another cleanser to add to my ever growing pile. While rice is not an ingredient in pumpkin pie, milk can be, so I'll say it's to theme. This cleanser will probably be given away or something.

Final Thoughts: Overall, this Pumpkin Pie Cosmetics Superbox turned out to be pretty on theme. Minus the hand cream ish, the rest of the box was pretty pumpkin piey. As for quality, I'd say it's not bad. Does it make up for less products? Not really. The sleeping mask that's expiring in June is really disappointing. It's not a bad product, just got a bad expiration date. So that made the 5 items box seem s bit more sad than it was. As for usefulness, aside from the cleanser (which will be given away), the rest are pretty useful and will be used by me at some point. Taking everything into account, how do I think of this box? I like it but not love it. It could have been better but I'm happy it's not worse. In comparison with my other Memeboxes I'd say its ranking is about average. So, all in all, not a bad box.
