Unboxing: Memebox Botanic Farm Box
Hey Dreamers and Creators!
Not going to lie, I love trying new skin care and makeup products. Even with my sensitive and acne prone skin, which makes me cautious of every product I try, I still love to discover and try new products. I think the hunt for the best holy grail products makes the process fun and the satisfaction of finding those holy grail products make the trials all the worth well. That being said, always on the hunt for the next best product is not cheap. So I often find really awesome deals and steals to lessen the pain on my wallet.
Not too long ago I posted an unboxing of the Intense Hydration box and shared that I had bought that box in a box bundle with the Botanic Farm box. I bought the box bundle (which was already on sale) with a 15% off code, major steal! So, today, I'm going to unbox the Botanic Farm box and share my thoughts of it with you all.
I have a love and hate relationship with this box. On the one hand, I love all the products in this box and each and everyone one of them is something I wanted to try. On the other hand I hate that there's only 1 of each sheet mask. Like how is one mask enough to say whether it's good or not. At least 2 each would have been nice. Honestly, I think that has always been something I didn't like. Even when I am buying a mask for the first time, I like to purchase 2 of it, so I can try it more than once and it can help me decide whether I really like it or not. For me one mask is not enough to test my likings of it unless it's either really horrible or super duperly awesome.
Still I decided to get this box and the bundle because every product in here is something I wanted to try. You guys know I love masks, having a dedicated review day for it and all, so of course I would want to try the 4 masks in this box. I was also on the hunt for a new oil cleaner and Botanic Farm's sounded promising. So, that's how I decided to get the box. Anyways, let's get to know all the products!
Natural Energy Mask Sheet
20ml, $2, Rose
Product Description: A sheet mask formulated with rosehip extract. It works to smooth fine lines, moisturize the skin and firms and skin as well. Use after the face has been cleansed and toner. Gently remove the sheet mask from the packaging and place it on the face. Smooth out all the air bubbles and leave the mask on the face for 15 to 20 minutes. After, remove the mask and massage the face gently using the palms to help the reminder essence be absorbed into the skin.
My Thoughts: According to the information card, this is one of Botanic Farm's best selling sheet mask. I have tried a couple of different rose sheet masks before (Innisfree and My Beauty Diary for example), so I am excited to see how this will compare to them.
Natural Energy Mask Sheet
20ml, $2, Kiwi
Product Description: A unique 3 layer cellulose sheet mask, this mask is formulated with kiwi extracts. It works to provide nutrition to the skin and supply moisture as well. It contains vitamin C which can help increase the production of collagen in the skin. The mask also has natural cooling properties, making it perfect for summer. To use, cleanse and tone the face first, then apply the mask onto the face. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, then remove and pat in remaining essence.
My Thoughts: Looks like the Kiwi and the Rose are from the same line of masks. I've also tried a couple of Kiwi masks from other brands before, so I am excited to compare this one with them. The cellulose 3 layer sheet mask intrigues me and I can't wait to see more than that. I wish I can find more information of this mask but ingredients, instructions, and other information on the back of the mask is mostly Korean, so I am going to have to dig around and translate the ingredient list myself before trying it out.
Polar Energy Hydrogel Mask Pack
25g, $5, Camel Milk
Product Description: Camel milk is known to lock in moisture on the skin and protect it from external pollutants, which is why it makes an amazing skin care ingredient. This hydrogel mask will help moisturize the skin, smooth fine line and wrinkles as well. The primary active ingredient in this mask is Camel Milk extract (1000ppm). It will help balance moisture level in the skin and provide a radiant and healthy look. Cleanse and tone first before applying the mask to the face. Leave it on for 20 to 40 minutes. Remove the mask and gently pat in for better absorption.
My Thoughts: Not sure about you but I have never tried a camel milk mask before, so this is super exciting! I have no idea what to expect, so this could turn out to be an amazing mask or a not so amazing mask. The good thing is that this mask does have instructions and ingredient list on the back of the mask in English, so I don't have to worry about translating the ingredient list myself.
Black Soybean Milk Pudding Sleeping Pack
80ml, $28
Product Description: Beautify your skin with a yummy sleeping mask. This pudding sleeping mask is formulated with black soybeans, they work to nourish and moisturize the skin. The sleeping mask also contains skin brightening and anti-aging properties as well. The sleeping mask is used as the last step of a night time skin care routine.
My Thoughts: Ah, this box is truly (almost) all about mask. 4 out of the 5 items are masks, and as a mask lover, I am very happy with that. Wish they included more masks though! Anyways, this sleeping pack definitely sounds unique and I've never tried any black soybean products either. I especially love sleeping packs for the fall, winter, and spring times, so this will be saved until then!
Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbet
100ml, $30
Product Description: A firm yet creamy makeup remover, it comes in a sherbet like texture. It has 3 kinds of grains: rice, rice bran and soybean ferment extracts to help brighten the skin while removing skin impurities. A little goes a long way for this cleansing sherbet and it works just like an oil cleanser. Once applied to the skin, it will melt into oil form and just massage it gently on the face with fingertips until the makeup fully melts. Wipe it off with a tissue and then wash the face.
My Thoughts: The cleansing sherbet I am excited about, I wonder how it will compare to the Banila Co. Clean It Zero. It sounds like it works just like the Clean It Zero, but it's extracts are different and unique. I'm going to have to patch test this and go from there.
★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆
Final Thoughts: This is a pretty awesome box. I will definitely use all the products here and for once I am excited about every product in the box! I do wish that they had provided 2 sheets masks each, which is a lot better way to test masks than just one each. However, I'm still happy at the variety and will report back after I've tried them!
Until next time and dream big!
