Unboxing: Memebox and Samantha Schuerman Collaboration
November is my Memebox overload month. Memebox is a beauty box company without the subscription part. Instead of monthly subscriptions, they sell boxes periodically on their website, and you can choose which box or box bundle you would like to buy. The boxes would be curated and shipped out on the dates it's set to ship out. They mainly sell Korean skincare and beauty products and you guys know how I love Asian beauty products. When I found Memebox, I was in love with the mystery boxes, but was a little hesitant to buy. However, upon purchasing my first Memebox and falling in love with it and I quickly ordered more.
I ordered the Samantha Schuerman collaboration box in a box bundle with Vagabond Youth and Cutiepiemarzia. It's rare for me to order collaboration boxes, but there was such a good deal on them I couldn't pass the offer. Plus, there's a first time for everything and in this case it was my first time buying collaboration boxes. Now, let's dig in, shall we?
The products in this box were picked by Samantha Schuerman who is a beauty Youtuber. This box cost roughly $22, that includes shipping. Which is pretty darn good since it came with 7 full size products, totaling about $140.
RiRe Pigment 3 set
2.5g ea., $13 total
A set of pigments perfect for adding sophisticated shimmer to any eye makeup look. The pigments can help to create that multi-dimensional effect or it can be used alone for shimmering elegance. It can be applied with a brush or your finger.
I love how beautiful the pigments look. I don't usually use shimmery eye makeup like this unless I'm going clubbing or something, but these are just gorgeous. The colors are silver white on the left, burgundy red in the middle and pink gold on the right. I can incorporate them into some of my looks without looking like a disco ball which is great. I find it easier to apply with my finger than my brush, but it can get a bit messy, so be warned.
Youngwoosa I Love You Oh Thank You Green Tea Seed Essence
40ml, $54
A facial essence formulated with a Jeju Island blend of organic green tea seed and a variety of herbal extracts. It'll help to replenish, relieve, and moisturize the skin. To apply, take a few drops of the essence and spread it evenly over the face.
My thoughts? That is one long name for an essence. From the description it seems like it's popularly used as a gift, which would explain the name. Anyways, it sounds like a great essence and it contains not only green tea extracts but also rosemary and chamomile extracts.
Secret Key New Premium So Fast Hair Booster Hair Pack
150ml, $24
A hair pack that restores the protective layer on dry and/or damaged hair. The hair pack will make dry/damaged hair feel silky and smooth and increase hair's resistance to breakages. It will also heal, protect, and prevent future damages.
Another product with a really long name, sheesh lol. Although I am unlucky in the skin department, in that I have acne prone skin and combination skin, I was lucky enough in the hair sector. Since my hair have always been nice, silky and smooth. Never damaged or dry no matter how many times I curl it and all. Let's not jinx it though, *knocks on wood*. So this product will be gifted.
M.Daida Butter Cream Lip Mask
20ml, $13
A soothing, leave-on lip mask that replenishes and adds moisture to lips. It's formulated with a bio-active blend of organic walnut and Shea butter. This cream lip mask will nourish and smooth lips to prep it for smooth lip makeup application. Apply the product to dry lips and leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes. Use a tissue to wipe away mask to reveal plump lips.
Lip mask, yes! I get dry and chapped lips easily. Even though there are a bijillion DIY lip mask/scrub recipes out there, I'm always too lazy to make my own. Yet, I have time to bake cookie monster cupcakes. I have a bunch of lip balms too but no lip mask. However, since I got this one in a Memebox, I'm so excited for it. I love the smell of this butter cream lip mask too, ugh, so good.
Too Cool For School Play Cheek Angel Blusher
4ml, $14, 02 Sweet Peach
A highly pigmented blush formulated into a powdery soft texture. This Too Cool For School Play Cheek Angel Blusher will blend into skin easily for a natural flush of color. It comes with a built in mirror and fluff blush.
This blush is tiny but so handy. I'm torn between calling it cute or not. While the inside packaging is cute and tiny (comes with a cute white puff and built-in mirror), the outside packaging is not so cute. Still I love the color of this blush and it really does give a natural flush color. It's really handy for on the go uses and I can put it in my makeup pouch without worrying about bringing an extra brush.
RiRe Lip Manicure
3.7g, $18, Wine Burgundy
A richly pigmented lip product. It is silky smooth, long lasting, and waterproof. The formula dries fast and it's also smudge proof. A variety of looks can be create from this lip manicure. Whether it's gradation or bold lips or anywhere in between, this lip manicure can do it all.
I love the color of this lip manicure. Since one of the winter beauty trends in Korea this year is burgundy lip color, this product is perfect. I can add a little to create a natural lip look or a bit more to create that bold lips. But my favorite has to be the gradation lip look, which can be created by dabbing the product on the center of the lips than blend it outwards to make a gradually fading look.
Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Sebum Clear Powder In Mist
65ml, $8
A mist formulated with a blend of cranberry, dragon fruit, apple mint, and powder. It will replenish dehydrated skin while locking makeup in place. It provides a silky and light finish that's lightweight and not sticky. To apply, spray it evenly over the face as the last finishing step to your makeup.
This sounds like a makeup setting spray and I've never used setting spray before. Usually, if I need to set my makeup, I just use a light setting powder. So I am excited to try this. It's packaged simply but kind of cute at the same time.
Final Thoughts:
I really liked this box. It contains 7 full size items, but it's really 9 items if you count the pigments separately. Plus, it's worth over $140. That's a pretty good deal. The 3 products that I am using and loving right now are the Cream lip mask, Lip manicure and Angel blusher. I've tried the pigments and will save them for special occasions. I am excited to try the mist and essence in the future and I'm sure I can find a good home for the hair mask. Overall, for $22, this box is totally worth it.

Disclosure: The products were purchased by me and all the opinions are honest and my own.
I'm genuinely bummed that I missed out on this one. I was on the fence about it because I'm usually uninterested in the collab boxes, or ones that are heavy on the makeup. This one had a great mixture of product and those pigments...oh my gosh. The colors are So gorgeous. I've been super into burgundy and rosegold shades lately. incredibly jealous of those! I haven't seen many reviews on this box, so thanks for sharing this! #kbeautybloghop
ReplyDeleteI definitely have to agree that a few of those products have ridiculously long names. The essence looks nice though. Have you tried it yet?

Wishing that I'd had more interest in collaboration boxes now!
